Do you know that 90% of air-pollution in fast-growing cities worldwide comes from cars? Now imagine how much pollution it would cause by driving from Singapore through Kuala Lumpur and stopping at Bangkok, Thailand! But with the current technology and trend of Electric Vehicles (EV) cars, we could help reduce those pollution by a significant amount.
Eigen Energy, a turnkey solutions system integrator for EV charging, had their Singaporean team drive a Tesla from Singapore through Malaysia, finally arriving in Bangkok, Thailand to join their Thai team. The route spanned 2,014 km over 4 days with team members, Lester Han and Bryan Wong stopping to either charge or rest. The goal was to demonstrate the possibilities of sustainable transportation and shed light on the opportunities and challenges of an electric drive. With that objective in mind, the team hoped to draw awareness to the existing EV charging infrastructure and the long-range proof of concept, hopefully instilling public confidence and signaling the start of an environmentally friendly mode of transport for a cross country travel trend in the future.
Sunday Group, as one of the trusted and leading InsurTech. We decided to sponsor this project by giving motor insurance for the whole trip; starting from when the car enters Thailand’s border. As we may all know, driving such a long trip could involve some roadside accident. For this particular project, we are the sole insurer and broker company that has supported this amazing trip!
For us, we believe that health, safety, and environment are something that stay alongside each other. With a better environment, comes better health as well. As our vision and mission is to care about people and be supportive. This project is one of the great examples of what we want to continue to support and help in any way possible.
We are proud to be a part and support this trip and hope to do more in the future as well!
